by Botanical Dimensions on 11/03/2017

On Friday, Nov. 10, 6-8pm, at the Glaser Theater on Mendocino Ave. in Santa Rosa, CA. Please join us to hear Dr. Greg Sarris —professor, writer, Tribal Chairman of the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria— reads from his newest book, which is dedicated to knowledge of place. This very place, Sonoma County, Northern California, is home to Botanical Dimensions and so many fine people. Indigenous people have been here for many millennia. Coast Miwok and Southern Pomo people explain the origins of features of our region with their rich stories. In this book, Sarris draws from those creation tales. BD is please to be one of the sponsors of this event. It’s free to all, no charge. Please join us to add to your appreciation of this beautiful land that has just come through massive wildfires. The land and its beings (all species) have been here for a long time, resilient. It calls upon all of us to help renew after fires, and to listen to its stories.
